Swift 6 augmented reality for engineering site inspection
Problem
Site engineers performing inspections must juggle physical drawings, tablets, and mental mapping between what they see on-site and what's in the documentation — a friction-heavy process prone to error and missed items.
Approach
DarburyAR is a native iOS app built in Swift 6 that overlays engineering data directly onto the physical world. Point the camera at equipment or pipework, and relevant specs, status flags, and inspection notes float in 3D space above the real object — registered to the geometry using ARKit and the Vision framework.
Result
Inspection workflows become faster, more accurate, and fully hands-free. Engineers see the right data at the right place without switching between apps or documents.
